McFadzean Studio is a family-run business providing architectural services throughout Scotland. The company is run by a qualified and experienced husband and wife team who work with dedication and personal involvement for great results.
Douglas McFadzean
Douglas McFadzean is the founding Director of McFadzean Studio. He has various honours to his credits that include MA(hons), Dip Arch and UD, MSC Urban Design, RIAS, RIBA and ARB. Graduated from Edinburgh University and Edinburgh College of Art, he worked for practices such as Anderson Bayne, NGP Architects and West Lothian Council.
Doug has worked on a wide range of projects, from schools and hospitals to domestic and commercial properties. His most recent projects include the extension to a local Primary School. This is considered to be a challenging project as it involves the modern extension to a listed building.
He currently oversees building regulations, designs and technical matters, in addition to finance and business development.
Amy McFadzean
Amy McFadzean is another founder of McFadzean Studio and oversees design, marketing and business development. Her qualification includes BARCH (hons), Dip Arch and Arch Con, Msc Architectural Conservation.

Graduated from Edinburgh University and Edinburgh College of Art, she has worked with some of the prestigious, local organisations that include NGP Architects and D2 Architectural Design. She was also involved in a number of freelance consultation projects.
She specialises in extensions, alterations, domestic and commercial projects, restoration, housing development and conservation studies.
